"My overall experience with Horizon Bridge was excellent, and I would highly recommend this program to anybody interested in government, international business, or economics. What this program offered that most other programs lack is Spanish language immersion in a professional setting. Instead of simply conversing with locals or taking language classes, we worked entirely in Spanish with city, island, and national government officials. We learned the economic challenges the island faces, and the development strategies it employs in order to attract foreign investment."

“The Horizon Bridge Government Island Fellowship was an entirely new and eye-opening experience. It provided me the spectacular opportunity to learn about the government of Tenerife in a hands-on and interactive way; the government officials that I worked with treated me and my colleagues like professionals and sincerely valued our opinions and prospectives. I would definitely recommend participating in the program because there is no better way to learn about the government than to experience it for yourself.”

"On the island, it did not feel as if I was an intern. We worked with government officials inside the offices they work in every day. I gave input and sat in meetings discussing their ambitious plans for the future. It was a unique internship opportunity. I learned about island government and the interworking of ports, taxes, and tourism. I was able to do all of this surrounded by mountains, a volcano, and the ocean. Each day after the fellowship, we did various excursions the island had to offer: Loro Parque, the beaches, hiking mountains without a path."

"Studying with Horizon Bridge was a fantastic opportunity for me. I was able to be engulfed in another society which allowed me to understand how they view business and government. One interesting aspect about community that I observed is how much they value conversation around food. It was not abnormal to spend hours talking around food. Eye-to-eye communication was used a lot more in the business setting rather than using email. I enjoyed the environment quite a bit. I would recommend this program to anyone interested in seeing how businesses work in other countries. Horizon Bridge has provided great exposure to businesses outside of USA."
